Actress Richa Chadha is gearing up for release under the direction of Subhash Kapoor, Chief Minister. It is the first Hindi film to be released in theaters in 2021. As the film is set to release in a few days, the actress was asked about working with director Subhash Kapoor, who was accused of sexual misconduct in 2014 by Geetika Tyagi.
As an avid advocate of the #MeToo movement, Richa Chadha has stood by the victims. Speaking to a daily, the actress said that she had recently come out of defamation case against Payal Ghosh. She said she stood by the movement, but also said that she did not believe in the media’s trials. She said that unlike other cases brought to Twitter, the case is biased. Richa further said that we should respect the law of the land and the decision of the court. She said that she would not judge anyone until the court pronounced the verdict.
Madam prime minister, A fictional story of grassroots power dynamics, the film traces the rise in power in a male-dominated setup of Richa’s on-screen character. It is scheduled to release on January 22.
