Family Man Season 2, starring Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni, was to premiere on February 12, 2021. After the grand success of the first season, filmmakers Raj and DK were working on making the series bigger than before. Amid this apprehension, the makers have decided to pursue the series for a summer release.
Taking to their social media, director duo Raj and DK shared today that the new season of Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming spy-thriller The Family Man will now premiere in Summer. “We know you’re eagerly awaiting the new season of The Family Man. We are truly grateful and humble for all the love! We have an update for you. Family Man season 2 premieres on Amazon Prime Video in this It will be summer! ” The statement said, “We’re working very hard to get you a kick season. And we’re pretty sure you won’t like it.”
The news comes after the Amazon Prime video show Mirzapur and Tandav was engulfed in flames and several cases have been registered against the makers. Meanwhile, there are also talks about censorship on digital platforms.
Family Man 2 also stars Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Seema Biswas, Darshan Kumar, Sharad Kelkar, Sunny Hinduja, Shreya Dhanvantari, Shahab Ali, Vedanta Sinha, and Maya Thakur. Produced by D2R Films, it is a sharp, action-drama series, which tells the story of a middle-class man, Srikanth Tiwari, who works for a special cell of the National Investigation Agency. The series explores Srikanth’s tight-rope journey as he struggles to strike a balance between his secret, low-paying, high-pressure, high-stakes job and being a husband and father. It is as much a satire on the geopolitics of the region as it is the story of a middle class man who is a world class spy.
