The filmmaker, actor, and Singer Farhan Akhtar has just announced his next, “Jee Le Zaraa” The announcement came on the day Dil Chahata Hai turned 20. This film marks Farhan’s directorial comeback after over a decade. Farhan Akhtar last directed Shah Rukh Khan’s Don 2 before pursuing acting. The film “Jee Le Zaraa” is written by Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Reema Kagti. The movie is produced by Reema, Zoya Ritesh Sidhwani, and Farhan.
“Jee Le Zaraa” is due to start shooting in Sept. 2022. “It’s a slice-of-life film, with three women on the road,” Akhtar says. Meanwhile, the upcoming road trip film would mark Priyanka Chopra’s comeback to Bollywood after The Sky Is Pink. The actor had worked with Farhan Akhtar in the film. Besides, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif are also part of “Jee Le Zaraa”.
On Tuesday, Priyanka, Katrina, Alia, and Farhan Akhtar shared a motion poster of the film on their respective social media handles. The poster features Alia, Katrina, and Priyanka’s names along with a car. The motion poster reminds you of Dil Chahta and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
Announcing the project, Farhan wrote, “Did someone say road trip? I was thrilled to announce my next film as director and what better day than 20 years of Dil Chahta Hai to do it. #JeeLeZaraa with @priyankachopra #KatrinaKaif @aliaa08 will commence filming in 2022 and I cannot wait to get this show on the road (sic).” Alia, Katrina, and Priyanka also shared the film’s motion poster on social media.
