Actress Janhvi Kapoor stopped shooting Good luck jerry In Punjab earlier this week. The actress shared the first look from the shooting schedule. But, the shooting was interrupted when a protestor stopped the set on 11 January and demanded the actress to make a public statement on the ongoing farmer protest.
A local police official said that the protesters told the crew that Bollywood celebrities have not made any statement on the protest nor shown support to the farmers. When it was assured that Janhvi would make a statement, he went back. The shooting continued even after Janhvi took to Instagram to show her support. “The farmers said that are in the heart of our country. I value the identity and the role they play in feeding our country. I hope soon a resolution is reached that benefits the farmers,” they wrote.
Thousands of farmers have been protesting on the highways outside Delhi for two months to protest the three central laws. Industry singers and actors from Punjab have supported the farmers, while Bollywood stars have emphasized the issue.
During this, Good luck jerry Janhvi Kapoor will play the lead role. She plays Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh in pivotal roles. The film’s first schedule is expected to continue until March.
