Govinda, Raveena Tandon, and Shilpa Shetty star in Pardesi Babu, a 1998 Indian Hindi-language comic drama film directed by Manoj Agrawal and starring Govinda, Raveena Tandon, and Shilpa Shetty. Anand Raj Anand wrote the music for all of Pardesi Babu’s tunes. Although all of the movie’s tunes were popular, songs like “It Happens Only In India,” “Jave Sajna Main Nahin Karna,” and “Kuch Khona Hai Kuch Pana Hai” got a lot of attention.
Raju Pardesi, who lives in a rural with his nasty stepmother, chooses to relocate to Mumbai in order to improve his situation. When he arrives, his friend Happy Singh greets him and arranges for him to stay with a strict landlady named Mai.
Raju enjoys assisting others to the point where he wrestles and even loses to a professional wrestler in order to spend the money to assist others. When he returns to his apartment one day, he discovers Chinni Chopra, a runaway bride who refuses to marry Narendra, the man her father has picked for her. Raju and Chinni eventually fall in love, much to Mr. Chopra’s disgust. Mr. Chopra meets with Raju and tells him that he must amass one crore rupees in a year before he can marry Chinni. Raju agrees to take up the challenge and departs. As the year draws to a close, Chinni receives a letter from Raju stating that he has been able to save the required funds and would be returning to Mumbai for their wedding.
