Kismat Konnection is a romantic comedy film directed by Aziz Mirza, who has previously directed Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992), Yes Boss (1997), Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000), and Chalte Chalte (2003). Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan play the primary roles, with Juhi Chawla appearing as a cameo. The narrator is Shah Rukh Khan. This is the narrative of Raj Malhotra, an architect (Shahid Kapoor). He was a good student in high school and college, but he is having trouble obtaining work, clients, or projects these days. Everything he does appears to go wrong. Raj visits Haseena Bano Jaan, a Romani woman (Juhi Chawla). She tells him that his luck is bad and that he needs a lucky charm or someone who can help him transform his life.
The picture had a strong debut weekend at the box office. The picture was released in over 600 theatres around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Middle East. The film made a total of Rupees 10,120,000 (US$130,000) in the Middle East. By the second night of its release in the United States, it had raised Rupees 916,300 (US$12,000).
