Shooting directed by Anees Bazmee Maze 2 The pandemic was halted in March 2020. While the shooting of several films resumed from July-August after the lockdown was announced. Maze 2 Shooting is yet to resume.

Bhool Bhulaiya 2 shoot postponed to retain Tabu in the film

The team of Karthik Aryan and Kiara Advani star were to resume shooting in October. However, it was postponed until December. Reportedly, the makers have given the team revised dates for the end of January. However, Tabu, who played a key role in the film, was unavailable for the said dates and was in the process of exiting the film.

However, the producers are eager to retain him and are working again for dates. Initially, he was to shoot for this month and later in Lucknow. But now the shoot has been postponed till July 2021.

Maze 2 Is a part of Maze Franchises but not sequels. The first film which was a remake of a Malayalam film starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the lead roles.
