Back in December 2019, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi Went to the floor. Alia Bhatt’s first look garnered a lot of buzz but the shooting soon stalled in March after the coronavirus epidemic. Alia resumed shooting in October 2020, after more than six months. Shooting took place during film nights in Film City. Now, a new set has been created for the day’s shoot schedule.
According to a daily, the upcoming stint, for which the new set is designed at the Joker Ground in Film City, will focus on the 1960s when people living close to Kamathipura wanted the Red Belt area to be vacated Go Alia’s character Gangubai will be giving speeches and march past. She was supposed to shoot the scenes last week. Due to unexpected rain, the shooting was delayed.
Title Gangubai Kathiawadi, Gangubai, who is remembered in the pages of history as The Madame of Kamathipura, was pushed into prostitution at an early age, and later became a highly influential broker with many brutal gangsters as her client .
