When Priyanka Chopra returned to India from America at the age of 16, she remembered how much of a problem she was.

Priyanka Chopra, an international phenomenon, has a sizable fan base all over the world. She has been making news for her outlandish confessions even if she is about to make her OTT debut with Citadel from the Russo brothers. She has openly discussed her own life experiences, from accepting parenthood later in life with the appropriate spouse to talking about encountering favoritism in Bollywood.

Now, in a recent interview, she talked about how, when she returned to India from America at the age of 16, her father, Dr. Ashok Chopra, set rules.

Priyanka described the time her late father had gotten suspicious when she returned to India during an interview with The Howard Stern Show. She clarified the situation by describing how she was transported to the US with braids when she was 12 years old. She had her hair blow-dried to seem cool. In her own words, she returned with  “all of these American hormones and the food.” She returned to India “a little bit more woman” than her father had anticipated. He explained how she lived her life in a small town in India, as she had back in America, which had boys following her home.

The 40-year-old actress continued by recalling a terrible incident that led her father, who died in 2013 after a battle with illness, to establish tight regulations. She described how a high school kid had once leaped onto her balcony late at night. Later, her father had barred her windows, taken her jeans, and ordered her to only wear Indian suits. Additionally, he assigned her a chauffeur who would take her everywhere. She continued by pondering how she had gotten away with everything back then.

Priyanka Chopra has a promising lineup of forthcoming ventures on the professional front. The Russo brothers’ spy thriller Citadel, which also stars Richard Madden, will be her next film appearance. She also has Love Again and Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, both of which co-star Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, in development.
