Drishyam 3 at Rs 446.80 crore, Ajay Devgn’s biggest hit

Devgn's franchise thriller reaches Rs 446.80 crore worldwide in nine days, beating Singham Again and Tanhaji, with Rs 450 crore next.

Ajay Devgn's biggest hit at Rs 446.80 crore

Nine days into its run, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has become Ajay Devgn’s biggest global hit. The thriller has reached Rs 446.80 crore in worldwide gross and is closing in on the Rs 450 crore mark, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

The latest push came on Saturday, October 10, when the film collected Rs 26.50 crore nett in India. That is an 82.8 per cent jump from the second Friday’s Rs 14.50 crore.

Second weekend, not first weekend

The film opened on October 2 with Rs 62 crore nett, then added Rs 53.50 crore on day two and Rs 61 crore on day three. The weekdays were predictably softer: Rs 21 crore on Monday, Rs 19.50 crore on Tuesday, Rs 15.50 crore on Wednesday and Rs 13 crore on Thursday.

After a Rs 14.50 crore second Friday, the Saturday surge matters precisely because it came after the opening wave. Overall theatre occupancy was 33.46 per cent, with night shows at 46.23 per cent. That suggests evening and family audiences are still treating the film as an event, not an already-consumed release.

The current break-up

Sacnilk’s reporting gives the film a clear structure:

  • India nett: Rs 286.50 crore
  • Domestic gross: Rs 343.80 crore
  • Overseas gross: Rs 103 crore
  • Worldwide gross: Rs 446.80 crore

Overseas added Rs 8 crore on day nine. That steady accumulation matters because the Rs 450 crore target is not dependent on a single domestic spike.

A career peak

For Devgn, the figure is already a career best. The film has overtaken Singham Again, which ended at Rs 389 crore worldwide, and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which ended at Rs 367 crore. It has also moved past the previous Hindi films in the Drishyam franchise and sits fourth among Bollywood’s highest-grossing releases of 2026, behind Dhurandhar 2, Border 2 and Hanuman Ansh.

The cast — Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat — carries a story built on Vijay Salgaonkar’s attempts to keep his family ahead of the law. The commercial result suggests the franchise’s tension still has pull.

What to watch next

The real test is not the Rs 450 crore mark; it is whether Drishyam 3 can keep enough second-weekend momentum to narrow the gap with the three films above it. In a crowded franchise market, the fourth-place rank is meaningful but provisional. A dialogue-led thriller competing with spectacle-heavy titles is a useful box-office signal: audiences are showing up for story when the story is treated as an event.
