Abhishek Pathak’s Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has reached the first working day with the ₹200 crore mark within reach. The Ajay Devgn-led sequel collected ₹17.03 crore net in India on Monday, according to trade website Sacnilk, taking its four-day domestic total to ₹193.53 crore. The film opened in theatres on 2 October during a long weekend, which gave its first three days an extended runway.
The first Monday test
Monday is the first real examination after a holiday-assisted opening. The film recorded 24% occupancy from 16,254 shows on day four — a decline, but a contained one. A picture that opens at ₹62 crore and then holds a weekday in the ₹17 crore range is showing more than opening-day heat; it is retaining a meaningful part of its audience.
The day-by-day numbers so far:
- Opening day: ₹62 crore
- Saturday: ₹53.50 crore
- Sunday: ₹61 crore
- First Monday: ₹17.03 crore
- Four-day domestic total: ₹193.53 crore
Why the comparisons matter
The report says the first weekend outpaced the opening-weekend business of War and Tiger 3, and passed the lifetime total of Awarapan 2. Those are meaningful markers because Hindi cinema has spent much of the post-pandemic period chasing repeatable franchises. Drishyam, built on a mystery and a protective father’s secret, has now become one.
A theatre plea from Ali Fazal
The fourth day also brought a public endorsement from Mirzapur: The Movie star Ali Fazal. As his film completed a month in cinemas with ₹229.95 crore net in India, he wrote on social media: “Now go watch Drishyam 3. And other films,” adding, “Keep the theatres alive.” It was a reminder that theatrical recovery is now being argued for publicly by actors, not just by producers.
What to watch next
The next benchmark is Tuesday. If the sequel stays in double digits through the rest of the week, it should clear ₹200 crore before the second Friday and head into the next weekend with momentum. Drishyam 3 is co-written, produced and directed by Abhishek Pathak and produced by Panorama Studios and Star Studio18. It follows 2022’s Drishyam 2, carries an ending different from the Malayalam counterpart directed by Jeethu Joseph, and is among the higher-grossing Hindi releases of 2026 so far.
The competition is not standing still: the report names Mirzapur, Hanuman Ansh, Border 2 and Dhurandhar: The Revenge as the titles it must contend with through the season.
