Director Lomharsh, who has proved his mettle in making short films, ad films and full-length feature films has added another feather to his cap. The filmmaker, who has received a lot of critical acclaims worldwide for making socially relevant films like Yeh Hai India and Chicken Biryani has now been felicitated as the Youth Ambassador of peace by the Universal Peace Federation and Youth and Students for peace association. He was bestowed the honour for exemplifying the ideals of intercultural harmony, moral integrity, altruism and furthering the work of United Nations, thereby, contributing a unified world of peace which is the hope of all ages wherein the spiritual and material dimensions of life are harmonized and the foundation for creating a culture of peace is established.
The event was held in the Parliament House, New Delhi on 3rd of November, and the guest of honor of the event was Kiren Rijiji, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India. Lom’s previous films, Yeh Hai India and Chicken Biryani have also won many accolades. Yeh Hai India was screened at the prestigious film festivals like Cannes, FOG in San Francisco, and was also backed by Baba Ramdev and General V.K. Singh. Chicken Biryani was also extremely well received in the festival circuit, and got 13 awards! The short film was also acquired by Shorts TV of America, which is specialize in films which were either nominated or won at Oscars and Cannes. Lomharsh’s next short film, Chicken Biryani 2, is up for release soon, and has created significant buzz even before its release and won 10 Nominations and Awards so far, including 3 best film awards.
Lom has also won Best Director and Best film award at FOG, America for his film Yeh Hai India.
So far, his Bollywood dream as a maker is on the run as he was a Australian citizen and given it up for pursuing his dream as a film maker.
He has won 27+ Awards and nominations and many other critically acclaimed awards for his exceptional work in cinema.
