Sumeet Saigal, an Indian Bollywood actor, and producer who worked in the industry from 1987 to 1995 and appeared in over 30 films, was born on February 18, 1966. Saigal made his acting debut in the 1987 film Insaniyat Ke Dushman and has since appeared in films alongside stars such as Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, and Mithun Chakraborty. Imaandaar (1987), Param Dharam (1987), Lashkar (1989), Bahaar Aane Tak (1990), Pati Patni Aur Tawaif (1990), and Gunaah (1993) are some of his well-known films.
He departed the film profession after starring in his final two films, Saajan Ki Baahon Mein and Sauda, in 1995. After a 12-year hiatus, he shot a music video for a song included in the 2007 film Red: The Dark Side. He produced Rokkk, a horror film starring Udita Goswami and Tanushree Dutta, in 2010. He currently runs ‘Sumeet Arts,’ a production company that dubs South Indian movies into Hindi.
Sumeet married Shaheen, the niece of actress Saira Banu, in 1990, and the couple has one daughter, Sayyeshaa, who was born in 1997 and made her film debut in 2015. In 2003, the couple divorced. Sumeet Saigal married actress Farah Naaz in the same year.
