Dutt posted an impassioned message on social media, claiming victory over the adversity, stating, ‘The last several weeks have been a very trying period for my family and me.’ The actor was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago and has been receiving treatment in Mumbai and the United States since then.
While neither the actor nor those around him divulged his exact diagnosis, the actor was said to be suffering from Stage 4 Lung Cancer. According to reports, Dutt’s physicians decided he needed ‘immediate and aggressive therapy’ to fight the tumor, so he chose to seek treatment in the United States.
