Indian actor Varun Dhawan is a descendant of the Dhawan family. Born in Mumbai on April 24, 1987, completed his schooling at Bombay Scottish School. Varun was a bright student in his class, in his 10th grade, he scored 82%. He then perused graduation in Business Management from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.
His father, acclaimed filmmaker David Dhawan, wanted him to be a doctor or an engineer, but he ended up being an actor because of his mother’s wish. Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor both studied at Barry John Acting School. In 2012, he made his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s film ‘Student of the Year,’ and won the Lion Gold Favourite Debut for Male Award in 2013 for his performance in the film.
