Ranbir Kapoor is a well-known Bollywood actor. Born on September 28, 1982, Ranbir is the son of superstars Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. After completing his schooling at Bombay Scottish School Mahim, Ranbir then pursued his graduation from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai, and later went on to study Method Acting at the Lee Strasberg Film Institute in New York. Before beginning his acting career, Ranbir appeared in two short films, ‘India 1964’ and ‘Passion to Love.’ After which, he became an associate of acclaimed film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and assisted him in the film titled, ‘Black.’
He made his Bollywood debut in 2007 with the film ‘Saawariya,’ in which he co-starring Sonam Kapoor. Ranbir’s outstanding performance earned him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for this film. Following this, he was seen in Siddharth Anand’s film ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ also starring Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu, and Minissha Lamba.
In 2009, Ranbir Kapoor starred in three films. He was seen in ‘Wake Up Sid,’ along with Konkona Sen Sharma and the film was a commercial hit. ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani,’ starring opposite Katrina Kaif, was his second film. ‘Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year’ was Ranbir’s third film.
