Shahid Kapoor, an Indian actor who works in Hindi films, was born on February 25, 1981. He is the recipient of various honors, including three Filmfare Awards, and was once known for playing love roles. He has recently moved on to action flicks and thrillers. His height is 5’8” and he is 39 now.
Kapoor was born in New Delhi, the son of actors Pankaj Kapur and Neelima Azeem. When he was three years old, his parents divorced, and he moved in with his mother. When he was ten years old, his family relocated to Mumbai, where he enrolled in Shiamak Davar’s dance academy. Kapoor first emerged in the 1990s as a background dancer in a few films, then later in videos and TV commercials.
In 2003, he made his film debut in the romantic comedy Ishq Vishk, which was a sleeper smash and earned him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Before playing in Sooraj Barjatya’s top-grossing family drama Vivah (2006), he had roles in multiple commercial flops.
For his roles as a troubled businessman in Imtiaz Ali’s romantic comedy Jab We Met (2007) and twin brothers in Vishal Bhardwaj’s action thriller Kaminey (2009), Kapoor received Filmfare Award nominations for Best Actor.
Apart from acting, Kapoor is a supporter of charities, a host of award shows, and a talent judge on the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded (2015). He is married to Mira Rajput and has two children with her.
