Tees Maar Khan stars Akshay Kumar as a conman in a heist comedy. Akshaye Khanna, Raghu Ram, Rajiv Laxman, Arya Babbar, Sachin Khedekar, Murli Sharma, Aman Verma, Ali Asgar, and others appeared in the film. The film which was released in 2010, had Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor in cameo appearances. The film is an authentic remake of Vittorio De Sica’s 1966 Italian film After the Fox, written by Kunder and his brother Ashmith.
For Rs. 7.5 million, a whole train was built and a 500-meter track was erected to film the climax scenes. In this film, Dharmesh Yelande was choreographed. The film’s music is composed by Vishal-Shekhar, with one song written by debutant music composer Shirish Kunder for the title track. Vishal Dadlani, Anvita Dutt Guptan, and Shirish Kunder wrote the lyrics.
In most multiplexes across India, Tees Maar Khan had a 100% opening. Farah Khan directed the picture, which was co-produced by Twinkle Khanna, Shirish Kunder, and Ronnie Screwvala. The film was a semi-hit at the box office, grossing Rs 60 crores. In its third week, the picture grossed Rupees 12.5 million (US$180,000) net, bringing its domestic total to 610 million (US$8.6 million) net.
