Vicky Kaushal is an actor and assistant director for Uri: The Surgical Strike. He is the recipient of the National Film Award for best actor and Filmfare award. On Sunday, Vicky visited the Uri Base Camp in Kashmir after he received an invitation. He attended the Umeed Ki Sehar event and shared some pictures of himself spending time with the Army soldiers at the Uri Base camp. In some of the pictures, Vicky can be seen interacting with the locals.
He took to Instagram and thanked the Indian Army for inviting him to the Uri base camp. He mentioned, “My heartfelt thanks to the Indian Army for inviting me to the Uri Base Camp, Kashmir. Thank You for giving me an opportunity to spend a lovely day with the locals who were so full of warmth and amazingly talented. It is the biggest honour for me to be in the company of our great armed forces. Thank You. Jai Hind!”

Vicky Kaushal has played the role of an army officer in the 2019 film Uri: The Surgical Strike, which was based on the surgical strikes carried out by the Army in Pakistan following the 2016 terror attacks in Uri base camp.
On the work front, Vicky will be seen in Udam Singh biopic. The actor will also be seen in Sam Manekshaw’s biopic. He will also star in ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’. Besides that, Vicky will also be sharing a screen with Miss world Manushi Chhillar in an Untitled project.
