Rashmi Rocket: Taapsee Pannu starrer to premiere on ZEE5 on October 15

“Rashmi Rocket” film’s story is about the tale of a girl, who finally gets the chance to realize her dream.  She tries to compete professionally, but the race to the finish line is having many hurdles.  Therefore, an athletic contest turns into Rashmi’s personal battle for self-respect and identity.

The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand, and Pranjal Khandhdiya, ‘RASHMI ROCKET’ is written by Nanda Periyasamy, Aniruddha Guha, and Kanika Dhillon.  The film stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role.  The movie also stars Supriya Pathak, Abhishek Banerjee, and Supriya Pilgaonkar.

Taapsee Pannu feels, “‘This film is very special. One line of this story fell in my lap in Chennai. And from there it became a full-fledged film.  This kind of feeling I haven’t experienced with any other film before. Everyone was just so sure about the story from day 1. Hence the result of this film will affect me more than my other films. Also, I’m extremely proud of it.”

Additionally, director Akarsh Khurana claims, “I’ve always been fond of courtroom dramas, mature romances, and sports films. As a storyteller, I prefer characters on journeys, both external and internal. This film gave me something that had all these elements, with fantastic actors.”
