Priyanka Chopra discussed acting’s volatility in a recent interview. The actress, who is getting ready for Citadel to hit theatres, claimed that building credibility takes time.
Priyanka Chopra, who made her acting debut in the 2002 Tamil film Thamizhan, has advanced significantly in the twenty years that have passed. She has been in several Bollywood blockbusters, but she has also established a name for herself in Hollywood thanks to her outstanding work on shows like Quantico, Baywatch, The Matrix Resurrections, and others. She is now preparing for the premiere of Richard Madden and the Russo Brothers’ spy thriller series Citadel. Priyanka Chopra admitted that while she is now one of the most popular actresses, she initially did 4 films a year because she didn’t want to miss a chance.
Priyanka Chopra was recently asked if she had ever had any doubts about her ability to thrive during an interview on the Radio Times Podcast. Priyanka responded by going back to a period when she used to get up in the morning and fear that her possibilities might be taken away “My filmography is almost 70 movies; I used to do four movies a year because I didn’t want to lose an opportunity. I thought I’d wake up one morning and it would be taken away from me,” said Priyanka.
She continued by saying that building trust in this field takes time and that an actor’s work is never secure. “To have stability you need to be able to create credibility with your work and to consistently deliver. That takes time!” said Priyanka.
Priyanka said on the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast on Spotify that she became really anxious when her six movies failed to do well at the box office. “I was terrified when those 6 movies didn’t do well because I’m not a nepo baby. I didn’t have that kind of support that exists in a big way in Bollywood movies. You don’t have your uncle making a movie for you just because your last one tanked, right? You have to get it and you have to hustle for it,” said Priyanka.
