The release of the film Laal Singh Chaddha is much awaited. However, Aamir Khan and his team have decided to postpone their social drama yet again. According to industry sources, the Advait Chandan directed biggie, is targeting an April 14, 2022 release now.
Laal Singh Chaddha Uses Hi-end Technology
Meanwhile, Laal Singh Chaddha is high on VFX film. The team is using aging and de-aging technology for Aamir Khan’s character. The process is taking longer than expected. Aamir Khan does not settle for anything but perfection. There are multiple films that have used this technology. Aamir is clear on providing a world-class big screen experience. Therefore, he has decided to move the film to April 14, 2022, as per sources.
Interestingly, this release would mean a clash at the box office with the much-awaited KGF 2 . “They are deciding on multiple dates in April – May period. However, April 14 is just one of the many in consideration. Another date being considered is the Eid weekend – 28th April 2022. Aamir is speaking to, Sajid Nadiadwala (Heropanti 2) and Ajay Devgn (MayDay), All of them are trying to see if something can be worked upon. A final decision will be taken in a day or two.
In the meantime, Laal Singh Chaddha is no longer releasing on February 11. The movie is an official remake of the American film Forest Gump. The Hindi adaptation of Forest Gump underwent a lot of changes. Firstly Atul Kulkarni spent considerable time in adapting the script. Thereafter, a good bit of time was taken in purchasing the remake right
Finally, Aamir Khan bought the rights to the film in early 2018. This was done with the help of LA-based producer and director Radhika Chaudhari. Aamir announced the film officially on 14 March 2019, with its title. It also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan as the female lead. Kareena completed the shoot of the film prior to giving birth to her second child Jehangir.
Nag Chaitanya debuts in Hindi Film
Additionally, it also marks the Hindi film debut of Nag Chaitanya. The movie had been filmed in more than 100 Indian locations. The shoot began in Chandigarh around the end of October 2019. The production was halted in between due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic
