Khan’s subsequent blockbusters included Happy New Year (2014), an action-comedy about a dance competition, and Raees (2017), a crime drama in which he played a bootlegger.
Shah Rukh Khan was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s highest civilian honor, in 2005. By the year 2012, he had received 15 Filmfare Awards in various categories, the majority of which were for best actor.
