With Barfi, Ileana D’Cruz debuted in Bollywood opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.
For over a decade, Ileana D’Cruz has been a part of the Bollywood business. With Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the major parts, and Saurabh Shukla, Ashish Vidyarthi, Haradhan Bandopadhyay, and Jisshu Sengupta in supporting roles, the actress made her Hindi debut with Anurag Basu’s Barfi. The actress has always stated that the 2010 movie Phata Poster Nikhla Hero holds a special place in her heart.
Ileana had an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram earlier today, when she talked with her admirers. During the session, one of the participants questioned her,
In the 1970s, Barfi had offices in Darjeeling and Kolkata. Barfi Johnson (Ranbir Kapoor), a deaf-mute child from Darjeeling, and his connections with two ladies, Shruti Ghosh (Ileana D’Cruz) and Jhilmil Chatterjee, were central to the story (Priyanka Chopra) The film was a box office hit, becoming one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of the year in India and abroad. It was also India’s official entry for the 85th Academy Awards’ Best Foreign Language Film category.
Meanwhile, Ileana was most recently featured in Abhishek Bachchan’s The Big Bull, starring Nikita Dutta, Sohum Shah, Ram Kapoor, and Saurabh Shukla. Apart from that, she will next be seen in Randeep Hooda’s Unfair & Lovely. Balwinder Singh Janjua makes his directorial debut with this film, which deals with concerns of colorism in Indian culture. She also has Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi in Shirsha Guha’s untitled movie.
