Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Thursday. Aryan Khan was arrested in connection with a drug bust case. NCB raided a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 3.
Reportedly, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha have also been granted bail. The accused, however, will not be released from jail tonight as per the available information. The court will pass detailed orders by Friday evening.
Senior advocate and former attorney general of India Mukul Rohatgi concluded his arguments on Tuesday. The advocate appeared on behalf of Aryan Khan. As per reports, Advocate Mukul Rohatgi on Tuesday argued that no drug recovery has been made from Aryan Khan. Also, no medical test has shown that he consumed drugs. SRK had moved the matter to High Court after both Magistrate and Sessions courts rejected Aryan’s bail plea.
Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan along with a few others, was arrested by the NCB on October 3. The arrest was in connection with the seizure of banned drugs onboard a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. Aryan was sent to 14-day judicial custody on October 7. The star kid has been lodged at the Arthur Road jail since then.
Subsequent to Aryan Khan’s arrest, several stars came forward to show their support to SRK and Gauri. This includes Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Pooja Bhatt, among others.
Several celebrities, including R Madhavan, Sonu Sood, and Swara Bhasker, reacted to Aryan’s bail plea verdict too.
Taking to Twitter, Madhavan wrote, “Thank god. As a father I am So relieved .. … May all good and positive things happen.” Actress Swara Bhaskar posted “Finally!” with a clapping emoji. Actor Sonu Sood’s post has attracted considerable negative remarks.
