Arjun Kapoor recently revealed in an interview that he debuted in Bollywood with none other than Govinda. This was before we all witnessed the actor’s resolve in his debut film ‘Ishaqzaade’. Arjun got a chance to face the camera with the ‘Raja Babu’ actor in the multi starrer romantic drama ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’.
However, Arjun’s part was cut from the film. Arjun Kapoor informed that he filmed a scene with Govinda, and he knew that the sequence will be edited out. As everyone knows, the actor was born to Boney Kapoor. Given this fact, even as a kid, he had experienced the glitzy world of cinema by visiting the sets.
During his teenage days, Arjun Kapoor has assisted Nikkhil Advani on ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’. Also, Arjun’s stint as an assistant director with Nikkhil Advani on his next film, ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’, the actor got to face the camera. Time and again Arjun was experiencing the nuances of filmmaking post making an appearance on the big screen.
Arjun Kapoor shot something sweet with Govinda in “Salaam-E-Ishq”
Furthermore, Arjun Kapoor related his part in the film ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’. He said, “I shot something really sweet with Govinda” Recalling the role Arjun shared that Govinda portrayed the role of a taxi driver, and I was supposed to be one of his customers. This customer generally falls asleep on his shoulder while he is driving the vehicle. During the journey, he keeps nudging me to wake up. Arjun further revealed that it was a part of the medley for the introductory song.
However, Arjun Kapoor does not regret that eventually his sequence was edited out from the movie. The actor further shared that he was also part of the editing team. Therefore, he knew that the shot was never going to make it to the movie.
Furthermore, Arjun asserted, “It was just a fun thing to do. Thankfully, it got cut but I’m very lucky I technically got to debut with Govinda.” The Nikkhil Advani directorial Salaam-E-Ishq featured Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, John Abraham, Govinda, Vidya Balan, Anil Kapoor, Ayesha Takia, and Akshaye Khanna.
On the work front, Arjun was last seen with Saif Ali Khan in ‘Bhoot Police’. He will next be seen in the sequel of ‘Ek Villain’ titled ‘Ek Villain Returns’. The action thriller also features John Abrahan, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria in lead roles.
