On Wednesday, actor Boman Irani’s mother, Jerbanoo Irani passed away due to age related illness at their residence. The actor recently took to his Instagram and shared that she played both the role, father and mother to him, since she was 32.
Boman penned down a note along with a picture of his mother, “What a spirit she was. Filled with funny stories that only she could tell. The longest arm that always dug deep into her pockets, even when there wasn’t much there,”
The actor hailed his mother for encouraging him to watch movies when she was young. He said his mother was passionate about food and songs. “She loved her food and her songs and she could fact-check Wikipedia and IMDb in a flash. Sharp, sharp, sharp, till the very end,”
He further mentioned that his mother would remain him his primary goal as an actor was to spread joy. “She always said ‘You are not an actor for people to praise you. You are an actor only so you can make people smile. Make people happy,’ “Last night she asked for Malai Kulfi and some mango. She could have asked for the moon and the stars if she wished. She was, and always will be A Star,”
Many celebrities and fans took to their comment section and expressed their condolences. Actress Mouni Roy said, “So so sorry for your loss. Lots of love.”
On the work front, Boman had appeared in Maska. He will be seen in the upcoming movie, Mayday. The actor will be essaying a top airline owner in the film. The movie also starrer Ajay Devn and Amitabh Bachcahn. He will essay a role of a former cricketer and commentator Farokh Engineer In Kabir Khan’s 83.
