Nayyi Navelli collected an estimated Rs 22 lakh in India net box office on Wednesday, October 28, the lowest single-day figure reported so far in its theatrical run. The day-13 number is provisional and may change once final data is reported, but it takes the Yami Gautam-starrer to Rs 25.52 crore in India net collections and Rs 30.28 crore in India gross.
The film was playing across 1,293 shows when the estimate was compiled, keeping a wide footprint even as weekday demand thinned.
First week held up, week two is thinning
Directed by Balaji Mohan, the film opened on October 16, 2026, and gained ground over the opening weekend. Sunday was the strongest of the first three days. By the end of its first seven days, the film had collected Rs 22.15 crore in India net.
The second week has followed a familiar shape: a Friday dip, a Saturday-Sunday recovery, a weaker Monday, a steady Tuesday, and now a further slip on Wednesday. By arithmetic from the reported totals, the second week has added roughly Rs 3.37 crore net across six days.
Occupancy below 8%
The Hindi 2D version reported 6.76% overall occupancy on day 13. Attendance improved through the day, but stayed limited:
- Morning shows: 4.38%
- Afternoon shows: 7.08%
- Evening shows: 7.69%
Even the strongest session of the day kept occupancy below 8%, which explains the small weekday gross.
Reading the number
The gap between the Rs 25.52 crore net total and the Rs 30.28 crore gross total is standard: net collections are shown after tax adjustments, while gross reflects the unadjusted ticket value. The more useful signal here is the pattern. The film is now adding substantial money mainly on weekends, while midweek receipts are falling.
The next marker is the third Friday. If the weekend bump repeats and screens hold, the film can add a modest tail to its run. If weekday collections weaken again, the 1,293-show count is likely to contract quickly.
For trade watchers, a single provisional day is not a verdict. It sets the baseline for the next weekend comparison, and the real question is whether the film can keep enough shows and enough audience interest to ride another Saturday-Sunday recovery.
The film stars Yami Gautam as Mohini, with Adinath Kothare as Raja Awasthi and Mita Vashisht as Pinky Bua. Rishi Punjabi is the cinematographer.
