Prabhas’ Fauzi Locks March 2027, Teases First Glimpse

Prabhas' war drama Fauzi will arrive in March 2027, but the first glimpse lands today. The poster's 'Agyataparva' and a British flag point to a hidden 1932 story.

Prabhas' Fauzi sets March 2027, teases first glimpse

Director Hanu Raghavapudi has turned Prabhas’ 47th birthday into a reveal event for Fauzi, the actor’s upcoming war action drama. The team released a poster ahead of the film’s first glimpse and promised that the question on the new asset — “Who is he?” — would be answered later the same day. That gives the campaign a clear opening move: a promise, not yet an explanation.

A declassified poster

The image is built around a gold coin at the centre, carrying what appears to be Prabhas’ portrait in military uniform. Flames surround the coin, and a British flag sits in the background. The coin’s Hindi text, Agyataparva, translates as “The Hidden Chapter”, while the words “Most Wanted Since 1932” push the story toward a pre-Independence setting without naming it.

Hanu Raghavapudi shared the asset with a file-number framing: “Declassifying File Num : #25 TODAY.” The production’s own post went further: “Declassifying File Num : #25. ‘Who is he?’ – will be answered today with the video.” That is a two-step marketing beat: the poster establishes secrecy, and the first glimpse is positioned as the declassification.

What is known about Fauzi

Prabhas is expected to play a soldier in the film, marking a return to period drama after a run of big-budget projects. An earlier poster showed the character bloodied, seated on a stone, gun in hand, looking down; it carried the tagline “battalion who fights alone”. The newest asset picks up that lone-soldier thread, but wraps it in a more specific historical mystery.

  • The teaser positions the reveal as a declassified file, not a routine trailer drop.
  • The coin’s “Most Wanted Since 1932” detail gives the conflict a date anchor.
  • Fauzi is planned as a pan-India release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali.
  • Theatrical release is expected in March 2027.

Why the Hindi-cinema audience should watch

Fauzi is the kind of release that matters beyond one language. Hindi audiences will see the film alongside its Telugu version, and the supporting cast includes Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada — names that carry significant weight in Hindi cinema. The film also introduces Imanvi Esmail as the female lead, with Sajjad Delafrooz in a supporting role.

The campaign’s use of a British flag and a “most wanted since 1932” line suggests a colonial-era story rather than a generic war film. If the first glimpse delivers on that framing, Fauzi could stand apart from the crowd of action dramas competing for the same pan-India audience.
