As Poonam Pandey turns a year ‘younger’ today, she is celebrating her birthday in a special way. The actress has gifted herself a relaxing trip to Sri Lanka, combining two occasions — Women’s Day and her birthday on 11th March — into a memorable personal celebration.
For Poonam, the trip is not just about travel but about taking a moment to pause, reflect and celebrate herself. Sharing her excitement, she said, “I’m really happy that I’m flying to Sri Lanka to celebrate two special occasions — Women’s Day and my birthday on 11th March. I thought of gifting myself a wonderful trip, spending time on the beautiful beaches there. I absolutely love reading books by the beach and sipping champagne while soaking in the view. This trip is really about celebrating myself.”
Known for her bold personality and outspoken nature, Poonam also spoke about the importance of self-celebration, especially for women who often prioritize everyone else before themselves.
“I believe every woman sometimes forgets the power she holds, and we should celebrate ourselves more often,” she added, encouraging women to acknowledge their strength and individuality.
Apart from enjoying the scenic beauty of Sri Lanka, Poonam revealed that she intends to visit a sacred site associated with Lord Hanuman during her trip.
“During this trip, I also plan to visit an ancient Hanumanji temple where it is believed that Lord Hanuman first set foot,” she shared.
While she is excited about the journey, Poonam admitted that she is also mindful of the ongoing geopolitical situation in the region. One of the places on her itinerary is the historic coastal city of Galle, which has recently been affected by tensions related to the broader conflict scenario.
Speaking about it, she said, “I’m really looking forward to this beautiful journey. At the same time, I’m a little concerned about the current war situation, as Galle — which is one of the places I’ll be visiting — has also been affected.”
