The actress is seen filming and practicing for a song sequence in behind-the-scenes video from Victoria Square in Birmingham, which suggests a special appearance.
Genelia, who portrayed Riteish’s on-screen spouse in the 2004 film Masti, was spotted wearing a bright yellow jacket and a stylish white and olive green ensemble. Her involvement with the project was further confirmed when the couple’s sons, Rahyl and Riaan, were seen on the set. Her cameo hasn’t been formally announced by the producers, but everything suggests that she will be back.
Genelia was present at an actress Elnaaz Norouzi’s birthday celebration on set, which director Milap Zaveri even shared a few photos of. If verified, Genelia’s cameo will be her first appearance in the franchise in almost 20 years, giving the comedy sequel a touch of nostalgia.
It’s interesting to note that Masti 4 is being referred to as a “Reverse Masti,” a concept twist in which the female leads are purportedly exploring extramarital situations. The movie, which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2026, appears ready to revive beloved characters while introducing a new story.
