In a terrifying turn of events, Rishab Shetty and the crew of Kantara Chapter 1 narrowly escaped a major mishap while shooting in Karnataka’s Mani reservoir. As per reports, a boat carrying 30 members—including Shetty himself—capsized during a scene.
Although the water was shallow, panic broke out on set. Thankfully, everyone made it safely to shore without injuries. However, valuable filming equipment, including key cameras, were lost underwater.
The local police quickly intervened, and an investigation is now underway. Despite this setback, the makers have denied rumors about the film’s delay. Kantara Chapter 1 is still on track for its planned October 2 release.
The film has previously been in the spotlight for on-set challenges, but Shetty’s team remains steadfast in bringing this highly awaited prequel to life.
