In an interview with Cinema Vikatan, Mohanlal revealed that he has received several Tamil film offers but has been unable to consider them due to his packed schedule, particularly with L2: Empuraan. However, he subtly hinted that Jailer 2 is in development and expressed his willingness to join the project if approached. “I got many scripts from Tamil, but I was a little busy with Empuraan and other projects. Now Jailer 2 has started, I will join the film if they call me,” he said.
Mohanlal played a memorable cameo as Mathew in Jailer, starring Rajinikanth. While he has not confirmed his return, his statement has sparked excitement among fans.
