Ranveer Singh’s film Aaniyan is hanging in the middle of Shankar and V Chandran’s fallout

It has become a trend now in Bollywood to make a remake. It seems that Bollywood is in a shortage of a fresh content now. Will South film industry take over Bollywood?

From Shahrukh Khan, Amir Khan to Akshay Kumar and, now Ranveer Singh is also on the list. South films are attracting every big name from the Bollywood industry. Ranveer will be soon seen in a Hindi adaptation of the south film, Aaniyan. This film will be directed by south’s famous director, Shankar. It is a psychological action-thriller film.

But, as soon as the makers made an official announcement about the film, the producer of the original film V Ramchandran, claimed that he has the total right to the film. That he is the whole and soul of the film. Only he has the rights to the storyline. He asked Shankar to immediately stop working on the film or take it any further. V Chandran sent an open letter to Shakar claiming his rights to the storyline of the film.

Shankar sent back the letter responding him that says, ” In this context I submit that the movie was released in the year 2005 and everyone associated with the film were aware that the script and the storyline belongs exclusively to me and infect the movie was released with the tag: Story, Screenplay and Direction by Shankar.”

Ranveer was about, to begin with, the shoot but amidst this fallout between Shankar & V Chandran, it is difficult to assume when the shoot will start.
