Bollywood actor Sunny Leone was questioned by Kerala Police recently on a complaint filed by an event manager in Kochi in an alleged fraud case. The inquiry was conducted at a private resort in the state capital Thiruvananthapuram.
Complainant R Shias, who conducted the incidents in and around Kochi, had complained to the Kerala DGP that Sunny Leone had paid Rs. The 29 lakh people who promised to attend various inauguration events of the state did not fulfill their side of the bargain.
The complainant revealed that Leon’s manager had taken money in several installments since 2016, with the promise of participating in five functions. However, when this did not happen, the event manager filed a police complaint.
Allegedly, a police officer confirmed that Sunny Leone admitted to taking the money, but the event manager did not intend to cheat. The actress stated that her manager took the money and gave dates for the events, however, the event manager could not comply with her dates and hence the issue increased.
The police will investigate the case after collecting more information from the complainant based on Leon’s statement.
