The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is investigating a drug case in Bollywood and has now taken Assistant Director Rishikesh Pawar into custody. Reportedly, he is a close friend of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Earlier, it was reported that NCB is conducting a search at Pawar’s residence, which is said to be absconding.
The NCB is actively investigating the drug investigation that was launched after the drug link to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Earlier, NCB was also invited by actor Arjun Rampal, his sister and his partner Gabarila Demetriades. The actor’s residence was also taken up by the central agency. Actors like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Rakul Preet Singh were also questioned by NCB in September last year.
Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on 14 June 2020 and the CBI is currently investigating the case and is yet to come to a conclusion. The NCB arrested Riya Chakraborty and her brother Shovik in a drug case and was later released on bail.
