Actor Varun Dhawan who recently returned to Mumbai after his lavish marriage to longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal, has been honored for his efforts during the epidemic. The young actor was facilitated for his efforts and contributions to help people during the epidemic.
For the award ceremony, Varun Dhawan was seen wearing diapers in an all black traditional attire. To compliment the outfit, he was seen at the top in a black kurta and dhoti Vitha jacket.
Actor-politician Urmila Matondkar presented the award to Varun Dhawan. Varun tweeted, “Always meet Urmila ma’am and thank you for the beautiful song”, wrote tweeting Urmila’s post. Varun donated Rs 30 lakh to PM-Cars and Rs 25 lakh to Maharashtra Chief Minister Relief Fund and also distributed free food. Activists as well as health workers led the fight against coronaviruses. He also reached out to Bollywood in support of the dancer community.
Director Rohit Shetty was also honored for his contribution. The filmmaker donated 51 lakh rupees to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) for providing financial assistance to daily wage laborers in the Hindi film industry. He arranged meals and lodging for Mumbai Police personnel at eight hotels in the city.

The award ceremony was organized by Sakal Media in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, Health Minister Rajesh Tope and others.
