A powerhouse of talent and the face of a modern Indian woman, Taapsee Pannu today gave her fans a glimpse of on-the-field cricket training for her upcoming film. Well done. For her role as Indian cricketer Mithali Raj in the biopic, Tapsee will train with coach Nushin Al Khade. Being the dedicated method actor he is, Taapsee will be training to play a professional cricketer on screen to correct every action and stance.
Talking about his training, Taapsee said, “I’ve never played the game before, just being a spectator and a compelling fan of the game. Being on the other side I’m going to be a big challenge. But I think pressure is the best in me. It is probably a common quality that I can identify between Mithali and me. “
Produced by Viacom18 Studios, directed by Rahul Dholakia, and written by Priya Avon, Shabash Mithu is the inspiring story of Indian women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj. Inspired by the billions of young girls in the country, her life is now set to appear on the silver screen in this biopic.
