Veteran TV anchor and radio host Larry King is best known for some of the most iconic interviews that have died at the age of 87. This news was confirmed by his team in a statement.
Ora Media, a Kings company, shared the news on social media and revealed that he died on January 23 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The reason for his death was not revealed.
“For 63 years and on radio, television and digital media platforms, Larry’s many thousands of interviews, awards and global accolades have stood as a testament to his unique and lasting talent,” the statement said. “Additionally, while this was his name appearing in the show’s headlines, Larry always saw his interview subjects as true stars of his shows, and saw himself as a fair drain between guest and audience . “
“Funeral arrangements and a memorial service will be announced later in coordination with the Raja family, who ask for their privacy at this time,” it further read.

Larry King was the winner of the Peabody Award and the Radio Hall of Fame. He hosted Larry King Live on CNN for 15 years and continued to host interviews for many years to come. From radio days to Larry King Live, his interviews were known for being iconic. He was survived by three children, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
