A few months after the unfortunate demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the road will be christened in Andrews Ganj, South Delhi. Reportedly, the civic body of the area has approved a proposal for the same.
In September 2020, the Congress councilor of SDMC, Abhishek Dutt, proposed to name the street after the actor. A senior official reportedly said that SDMC House approved the proposal in its meeting on Thursday. Thursday 21 January was also the 35th birth anniversary of Sushant.
In Mr. Dutt’s proposal, he said that a large number of people living in the area near Road No 8 of Bihar are from Bihar and claimed that they were demanding the name of Sushant Singh Rajput Road from Andrews Ganj to Indira Camp Huh. .
Sushant Singh Rajput died on 14 June 2020. He was found hanging in his apartment in Mumbai. The CBI is currently investigating the reason behind his death.
