A year ago, it was announced that actor Varun Dhawan would be playing director Shashank Khaitan Mr lele. The makers had also released the first look poster featuring Varun. Actors Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar were also to be a part of this film. However, Varun decided not to do the film and wanted Shashank to narrate the script.
whereas Mr lele Just before the pandemic hit the country in March 2020, the manufacturers now planned to pursue the project. According to reports, Shashank has reworked the script and is set to begin shooting this year. While Varun will not be a part of this project, actor Vicky Kaushal has come on board. The actor reportedly loved the entire concept of the film which is a comic take on a spy.
Meanwhile, Shashank had to start shooting War With Shahid Kapoor in February. However, with the actor abandoning the project, his plan went for a toss and the filmmaker decided to finish Mr lele. They plan to wrap up the shoot in a month that begins in March. Mr lele Will later mark Vicky Kaushal’s third film with Dharma Productions Agree And Ghost.
