Amazon Prime Video’s original content is getting a lot of spotlight. After Tandava, the makers of Mirzapur are now facing legal troubles. An FIR has been lodged against the Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Bhowmik Gondalia at Kotwali village police station in Mirzapur for showing the district in poor light through allegedly derogatory material, promoting social enmity. The complaint has been lodged by an Arvind Chaturvedi who claimed that the series hurt his religious sentiments.

“Arvind Chaturvedi alleged that the web series showed abusive content and illegal relationships. Thus, on the basis of the complaint, according to Indian Express, Mirzapur SP Ajay Kumar said that an FIR has been filed against the producers and the forum.

The FIR has been filed under Section 295A of the IPC (intentional and malicious act intended to offend the religious sentiments of any class or degrade its religion), 504 (intentional insult intended to breach peace), 505 (statement) Condensation for public misconduct of IPC with sections of Information Technology (IT) Act.
