R. Balki’s films, over the years, have always managed to leave us smiling. The director has taken the films of his life as ‘slices’ and now he is ready to expand his horizons. Ready to make a thriller next, R Balki turned down Dulare Salman to be his lead actor for this film. With films like Cheney Kum, Of and, Pa, Pad man, Shamitabh, At this time, R. Balki plans to surprise his audience with this thriller which is bound to keep one on the edge of his seat.
R Balki had been planning to make a thriller for a long time and it was time to work on the idea during lockdown. Started as an idea, soon evolving into a screenplay and the way the screenplay changed, Balki feels that Dulquer is the best choice for Salman’s role. Dulquer starred in his Hindi debut Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar Get it done, Then moved on Zoya factor Sonam Kapoor with Ahuja. Malayalam actors fit the bill for this role and the film will go on floors in the next few months.
A studio is expected to come on board to co-produce with R Balki being the producer. The makers are still looking for the lead actress and an official announcement will be made soon.
