Shilpa Shirodkar has become the first Bollywood actress to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Many countries have started phase one of the vaccination campaign. The actress, based in Dubai, was taken to her social media handle to inform her of the vaccine.

Shirodkar shared a selfie, folding his arm where he was injected and written. “Inoculated and safe !! New normal .. Here I come 2021. Thank you UAE”.

Speaking to an entertainment portal, Shirodkar said that his next dose would be in 21 days and he would soon have a document saying that the COVID-19 vaccine had been taken.

The UAE vaccinates 8% of its population with the coronavirus virus vaccine and plans to cover half the population in the first quarter. The UAE has been approved by the Pfizer Inc.-BioNtech SE Kovid-19 Vaccine and Sinopharm unit China National Biotech Group.
