The Rajasthan High Court on Friday allowed Bollywood actor Salman Khan to appear in the blackbuck poisoning case through video conferencing. The actor had sought permission for this on Thursday. On February 6, the District and Sessions Court will hear the case.
The trial in the case by the district and session judge is for two appeals, one by Salman Khan challenging his five-year sentence by the trial court in the case of poaching of two black deer and the other acquitted the co-accused by the Rajasthan government To challenge the go. The actor’s lawyer HM Saraswat reportedly said that the sessions judge had ordered Khan to appear in court personally after 17 waivers during the hearing. The lawyer requested HC to allow the actor to virtually appear in the hearing.
In his plea in the court, the lawyer cited the state of the epidemic and said that whenever he has appeared in court, Khan has seen a huge rush and such ceremonies are not warranted at these times. The argument is also that it is not only a matter of personal safety, but also a law and order situation.
